A balanced morning






Okay, so when this year started, I said that I was going to eat cleaner, get back in the gym and be more intentional with my goals.


On a balanced morning, I wake up, make my daughter breakfast, get her ready for school, drop her off and then hit the gym. After a good workout, there's nothing that I want more than a healthy breakfast to jump start the day. My must haves in the morning include: eggs, avocado, fruit and matcha tea. More recently, I've started incorporating olives into my diet. I've also been enjoying my food on smaller plates and bowls so that I'm not tempted to overindulge.


Avocados:A The healthy fat! Avocados are high in fiber and promote healthy digestion. They are rich in monounsaturated fats and potassium, which can help lower cholesterol and blood pressure.


Eggs: A source for high-quality protein. Eggs are packed with vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. Also, a good source of vitamin D (an essential for bone health and immune function).
